Dear MonFMC Family,
This fall, I see the change of season with my eyes, but I am most excited about the changes I sense internally – happening within our church. There seems to be a stirring in God’s people as they see into the future – a future where we are able to reach more people with the good news of Jesus Christ.
There is an excitement about how a new church facility with the potential of reaching hundreds of people who can all see and fully participate in the service, will enable us to reach more of our community for Christ. Many parents are thrilled at the prospect of their children having room to creatively experience God. I see a future where our church is a haven for hurting people who can find the help and hope that are only found in Jesus Christ.
Let’s see the future together through God’s eyes...
Pastor Bill
Q: Why a capital campaign?
A: We want to be good stewards of our resources by building our new facility knowing we can cover the costs. If we have the participation we are praying for, we can receive all the necessary funding necessary.
Q: What is expected of me?
A: To prayerfully seek God about your part! Together we will participate in a spiritual journey that will result in each of us having the opportunity to prayerfully commit to making a significant investment – one that will last for all Eternity.
Q: Why move?
A: Our current sanctuary is more than 80% full. Our current children’s classrooms are filled to capacity. Our parking is limited.
Q: How much will this cost?
A: We are in the process of negotiating with the owner. The Free Methodist Foundation will work to obtain the best deal possible.
Q: What will I be expected to give? Will my pledge be confidential?
A: You will be expected to prayerfully consider what the Lord desires you to give. As God leads us all on this exciting journey, pray, discuss & think through what you will be able to pledge. As with all giving information, your pledge will be known only to those who work in the accounting department.
Q: When will we be moving?
A: If all goes well, we may be in our new building as soon as early in 2010. There will be remodeling to be done, but there is plenty of room to operate.
Please pray for God’s blessings on MonFMC & our Legacy Campaign. A $3 million need is significant. But the results – more lives transformed by God’s power, more families touched by the Gospel, more children learning about God’s plan for their lives in a new facility designed for greater impact – are awe-inspiring.
One hour, one time, or many hours throughout the Legacy Campaign...your time & help is invaluable. Plug in!
